What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Contacts & Comments:
When visitors provide information through forms on the website we collect the data and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media:
When visitors upload media to the website they may be providing embedded location data (EXIF GPS). We do not need this data, but do not have the means for removing it. Visitors concerned about providing this data should avoid uploading images with such data.

Cookies:
This site uses cookies to improve performance and the visitor experience.
When members log in to this site a cookie is created to allow them to maintain their log in. The cookie will remain for up to a year, unless the user logs out on that browser in which case the cookie is removed.

Embedded content from other websites:
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Your data is only used by the Dinner Lake Property Owners Association for the purposes of the organization and is not shared with any other organization.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

If you have an account on this site you can request we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
